Port Huron Periodontics
 Dale R. Sweeney, D.D.S., M.S.
Dr. Dale Sweeney is a native of Port Huron, having graduated from Port Huron High School in 1978. Following graduation, he attended St. Clair County Community College, Ferris State University and the University of Alaska before being accepted into dental school. After graduating from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1991, he chose to specialize in Periodontics. He completed his periodontal residency in 1993, and began his Periodontal Practice in 1994. His love of Periodontics and the exciting field of Implant Dentistry lead him to receive advanced surgical training through the Misch Implant Institute. He was the first periodontist in St. Clair County to provide implant services for patients. He is a member of many professional organizations, including the American Academy of Periodontology, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and the American Dental Association. He has also founded and is the director of The Port Huron Study Club, which is comprised of approximately 25 local dentists whose goal is the advancement of dental education and comprehensive care for their patients.

Janet has worked for Dr. Sweeney for over ten years, and has been with him since the day the practice opened. She is exceptional at helping patients understand the value of periodontal treatment, as well as accommodating their schedules and providing any additional information they may need to make good choices regarding their oral health. Janet has been married almost thirty years, has four children and one grandchild. She enjoys reading and Yoga in her spare time.

Tami has worked for Dr. Sweeney for five years, and is an expert at assisting patients with the financial and insurance investment associated with their periodontal care. She enjoys helping patients maximize their insurance benefits, and helps all patients with their financial questions and concerns. Tami is married, has one daughter, Heather, and a grandson, Reid. She enjoys gardening in her spare time.

Stephanie has worked in both general dentistry as well as periodontics, and enjoys the diversity of surgical and implant procedures that periodontics provides. In the two years she has been employed with Dr. Sweeney, her clinical expertise and love of people make her an asset to the practice. Stephanie has one son, Jacob and enjoys spending time with her friends and family when not at the office.

Marcia has worked in dentistry over twenty years, the last seven with Dr. Sweeney. She truly enjoys surgical assisting, as well as helping patients in their quest for improved oral health. She is married, and enjoys bowling, golfing and volleyball in her spare time.

Carla has over twenty years experience as a dental hygienist, the last seven years with Dr. Sweeney. Carla enjoys educating patients to make good choices for optimum oral health. She is excited about the advances in the profession of dentistry, and participates in continuing education regularly. She is married, has three children, and enjoys being involved with her children and their various sporting and academic activities.

Michelle has been a hygienist for almost three years, and became employed with Dr. Sweeney soon after graduating from Dental Hygiene. She is excited about the specialty of periodontics, and enjoys helping patients understand and improve their oral health. Due to the recent birth of her first child, a daughter, Michelle works for Dr. Sweeney on a part time basis, and enjoys spending her free time with her husband and daughter.
